Engaging Into a Fat Free Diet
Have you ever heard of fats hidden in healthy foods? Yes, this is a fact and this becomes a big challenge if you are on diet program and plan to lose weight. How can you then make sure you are picking the right food for yourself?
If you love to eat fish, don't assume your meal is fat-free. Omega-3 fatty acids are present in them, though they are proven to be giving great benefits to your body.
You love dining in Japanese restaurants and ordering their sushi? Do not get the more popular sushi rolls as much as possible. They are coated with cheese and mayonnaise and therefore contain added fats.
Try their tuna rolls instead or their other more basic sushi rolls. You can also get sashimi.
If you are the type of person who loves snacks, go for something natural like fresh fruits. They are full of vitamins and minerals. Avoid buying dried fruits even if they are just an inch away in grocery stores. They have gone through a preservation process; thus, some of the useful minerals are already eliminated. You will only get added calories and sugar from eating them.
You can also make you own granola. Just mix oatmeal, fruits and a little honey and viola! you already have a healthy meal in front of you. Pre-packed granola mixes from supermarkets have a lot of extra calories, sugar and fats in them and should therefore be avoided.
Don't be too fond with veggie burgers, too. Extra fats are everywhere.
Just because they are made of entirely vegetables and not meat, it doesn't mean they give the best nutrients for you. With a lot of cheese and other dressings to keep the vegetables together, more calories are piled up in them. They become unhealthy like the meat burgers full of fat and cholesterol.
So be smart in choosing the food you eat and be healthy.
