For a Type O dieter, he must choose foods accordingly in order to remain fit, and these foods are the following: high-protein foods like fish, chicken, and soya milk to name a few. Alkaline-based foods and a low-carb diets are beneficial for this type.

Type O dieters also need to eat a lot of veggies and fruits like berries. Dieters of this type are prone to blood-clotting problems, so it is advisable for them to eat veggies containing Vitamin K, which is essential in this function. Gluten-free products are also good for them.

What are the foods to avoid for these dieters? They are the following:

o Dairy products like animal-based milk, cheese and other dairy products. o Products that contain gluten like wheat can interfere with blood sugar and thus, slow down the rate of metabolism. o Legumes like beans should be avoided at all costs because they also contain lactic acid, which is easily deposited in the muscles. o Thyroid-inhibiting foods like mustard, cabbage, and cauliflower can slow down the metabolism. That is why it is not recommended to eat them.

Whether this theory is effective or not, there are still a lot of debates. By following a diet that is fit for your needs and lifestyle, you too can be healthy in both mind and body. Discipline is the key to any success in dieting.
